Department H is a fictional government organization featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and is associated with the Alpha Flight and Wolverine line of titles. It first appeared in The X-Men #109 in February, 1978 in a story titled "Home are the Heroes!"

Departmen H is a Canadian government organization that oversees the promotion and cultivation of super-powered agents to fight in the service of Canada. It was originally an adjunct of the Canadian Ministry of Defense.
The department began as a research and development branch of the ministry. James MacDonald Hudson was appointed administrator of Department H, and through his work, they began the development of their response team initiatives such as Alpha Flight, and the training programs of Beta Flight and Gamma Flight.
