"The Devil in the Dark" is the fourth episode from season one of the science fiction television series Defiance. It was directed by Omar Madha and written by Michael Taylor. It first aired on Syfy on Monday, April 29th, 2013 at 9:00 pm.
Synopsis[]
Two men named Dalton Taggart and Boyd Bowen are mysteriously and brutally murdered in Defiance. Lawkeeper Nolan and Irisa determine that someone is using Hellbug pheromones to lure the deadly creatures towards targeted prey. However, things go awry when two Hellbugs attack the Tarr household, nearly injuring Christie McCawley. The group discovers that it is the Irathient Spirit Rider known as Rynn, who is using the pheromones to exact revenge against the men who murdered her parents.
