Ugarti[]
Ugarti was a Liberata and the driver of a land coach that passed through Defiance en route to Yuma. Passengers and cargo included a supply of scrip chips as well as the Irathient prisoner, Rynn Grisu. Earth Republic ambassador Olfin Tennety and her husbands were also on board, along with Joshua Nolan. Olfin conspired with a group of bandits to rob the land coach. A Vysudium charge explosive was contained within the driver's compartment. When it detonated, Ugarti was instantly killed. (Defiance: The Serpent's Egg)
Ulysses[]
Ulysses is a BioMan owned and employed by Datak Tarr. He is also farmed out to some of Datak's less savory business ventures, such as the manufacturing of an addictive drug called Adreno, which was developed by a man named Meeko. Joshua Nolan entered into a fight wager with the BioMan, and succeeded in beating him only because he knew where his deactivation switch was.
Uno[]
Uno is an unofficial name referring to one of the Omec held in suspended animation aboard the Tsuroz. He was one of the first five awakened by Kindzi when she took control of the ship from her late father, T'evgin. When Uno heard how T'evgin had died, he had difficulty believing that someone so powerful could be killed through conventional weaponry. Kindzi took exception to this saying, "Are you calling me a liar?" Uno supplicated himself before her and said, "No, All-Mother".
