Biography[]
Debbie Pelt was a werewolf who was brought into a pack by Jackson Herveaux when she was still a teenager. She was betrothed to Jackson's son, Alcide, but as she grew older, Alcide and she became distant, and she left him in favor of another werewolf named Cooter. Debbie's life with Cooter represented a downward spiral in terms of moral character, though she was happy to be separated from Alcide's "pussy pack".
Debbie always nursed intense jealousy for what she could not have. She never got over being separated from Alcide despite her gruff demeanor, and she became even more troublesome when Alcide began associating with Sookie Stackhouse.
Debbie decided that she had finally had enough of Sookie's interference in her life. She broke into the Stackhouse residence armed with a shotgun and tried to murder Sookie. Her best friend Tara Thornton took the shot that was intended for Sookie and suffered a crippling blast to the head. Enraged, Sookie fought with Debbie and overcame her. Debbie begged for her life, but Sookie was hearing none of it. She shot her in the face with the same shotgun that Debbie had just tried using to kill Sookie. [2]
