Biography[]
Debbie grew up in Wessex County, New Jersey and had been a lifelong friend of a girl named Chris Higgins. [3] When she was around 19-years-old or so, she became romantically involved with a boy named Andy, and Debbie became pregnant.
A month later, Debbie and Andy met up with Chris and several other friends for a weekend getaway at Chris' family's retreat, Higgins Haven. Debbie and Andy slept in Chris' old room, which did not have a bed, but instead a hammock. After a day of fooling about by the lake, the two relaxed inside the main house. Andy was ignoring her and was distracted by having a fruit juggling contest with his roommate Shelly Finkelstein. Debbie plied him away by telling him that she could think of much better things he could be with his hands. With that, the fruit hit the floor and Andy and Debbie ran upstairs to experiment with the hammock. Surprisingly for both, their sexual escapade upon a hammock proved to be very satisfying.
While Andy left the room to procure some beer, Debbie decided to take a shower. When she got out, she shouted out that she had changed her mind about wanting a beer. She peeked into the hallway, but saw no sign of Andy. She could not have known that the father of her child had just been savagely killed by mass murderer Jason Voorhees only moments earlier. Debbie laid down onto the hammock and began paging through a magazine. In the time that she had left the room, gone down the hall and came back, Jason had sneaked into the bedroom and hid underneath the hammock. Using a large knife, he stabbed it through the rope strands of the hammock through the back of Debbie's throat. He left the carving knife in her throat while he went off to hunt more victims. Chris Higgins came upon Debbie's body while she was trying to escape from Jason.
