Deanna Troi is a central character featured in the Star Trek film and television franchise. Played by actress Marina Sirtis, she was a regular cast member on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and appeared in all 176 episodes of the series as well as four of the Star Trek feature films including, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis. The character has also made guest appearances on the spin-off series Star Trek: Voyager, appearing in three episodes. She also appeared in the "These are the Voyages..." episode of Star Trek: Enterprise. Outside of films and television, Deanna Troi has been prominently featured in a multitude of books, comics and video games. Deanna Troi is presented as a half-Human/half-Betazoid with empathic abilities who served aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D under Captain Jean-Luc Picard as ship's counselor.
