The Day of the Triffids is a 2009 television mini-series that adapts John Wyndham's 1951 novel The Day of the Triffids. The program premiered on December 28th and December 29th of 2009. The series was directed by Nick Copus and written by Patrick Harbinson. It was co-produced between Power and Canadian producer Prodigy Pictures and aired on BBC One.
