Daxam is a fictional planet featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It first appeared in Adventure Comics #312 in September, 1963 in a story titled "The Super Sacrifice of the Legionnaires!".

Description[]

Daxam is a planet located in the Milky Way Galaxy in Space Sector 1760. Its native intelligent race are humanoid beings called Daxamites. Daxamites are very similar to Kryptonians in that they gain enhanced strength, speed and vitality while operating in a stellar system that revolves around a yellow sun. Like Kryptonians, Daxamites also have a fatal weakness to a specific mineral compound. Whereas kryptonite will knock any Kryptonian on their ass, the only thing that can hurt a Daxamite is physical contact with lead. Yup. Lead. Basically, a school girl with a No. 2 pencil can whoop a Daxamite's ass.

Daxam has never had the greatest of luck when it comes to its history. Large sections of the planet where devastated when Imperiex sent one of this multitudinous probes to the planet to muck things up.

Supergirl[]

On the CW Network television series Supergirl, Daxam was a sister planet to Krypton. Daxamites and Kryptonians had a long-standing racial bias against one another, owing largely to the actions of the political or royal elite of both worlds. When Krypton exploded, the shock-waves washed across Daxam, making the planet unlivable. Millions died, and thousands more were forced into exile. The king and queen of Daxam, Lar Gand and Rhea, managed to escape, as did their son the prince, Mon-El.
