David Gardner is the central character from the 1986 sci-fi/horror film Invaders from Mars. Played by Hunter Carson, the character is loosely based on David Maclean, the boy astronomer from the original 1953 version of Invaders from Mars. In the film, David Gardner is a young boy who becomes aware of an alien threat to the planet Earth when Martians begin subverting the minds of everyone he knows.
