Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Darth Maul was created by writer/director George Lucas.
- Height: 1.75 meters [3]
- Since the Trade Federation was controlled by Darth Maul's mentor, Darth Sidious, Darth Maul may be considered a de facto member of the Trade Federation as well, though he had no involvement in the Federation's hierarchal structure or policies.
- Purportedly, some foreign translations of the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace novelization identify Darth Maul's true name as Khameir Sarin. This is speculative information at best and is not part of any official canon or the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
- Peter Serafinowicz, who provided the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, also voiced a character called Darth Chef in "The Return of Chef" episode of South Park.
- In the British comedy series Spaced co-starring Star Trek actor Simon Pegg, Darth Maul voice actor Peter Serafinowicz played the role of Duane Benzie and spoke Maul's famous line, "At last we will have revenge".
