Dark Shadows is an American comic book series of the occult thriller and supernatural horror subgenres published by Dynamite Entertainment. It is the fifth comic book series to carry the name Dark Shadows and is the second ongoing series based on the original 1960s daytime Gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. The untitled story from issue #1 of Dark Shadows was written by Stuart Manning with interior artwork by Aaron Campbell who also provided the inks for this issue. The coloring was provided by Carlos Lopez with lettering by Troy Peteri of Comicraft. The cover art illustration was composed by Francesco Francavilla. The story was edited by Joseph Rybandt. This issue shipped with a November, 2011 cover date and carried a cover price of $3.99 per copy (US).

- Dark Shadows was created by executive producer and showrunner Dan Curtis. Major storylines were developed by writers Art Wallace and Sam Hall. The original daytime Gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows aired on ABC from June of 1966 to April of 1971 spanning a total of 1,245 episodes. Two spin-off films House of Dark Shadows and Night of Dark Shadows were released in theaters in 1970 and 1971. A remake series of Dark Shadows was produced in 1991 and ran for thirteen episodes on NBC. In 2012, director Tim Burton crafted a comical reboot of Dark Shadows as a high-budget feature film.
