Plot[]
Matt Murdock has miraculously survived the collapse of the Midland Circle tower. Bloody, battered, bruised and barely conscious, he is discovered and taken to the Saint Agnes Orphanage, where he is reunited with Father Paul Lantom. He meets Sister Maggie Grace, who helps him with his convalescence, but it is a slow and painful journey for Matt. Matt continues to struggle with not only a crisis of form, but a crisis of faith as well, as he comes to terms with what he feels is his understanding of God.
Once he is back in some form of functionality, Matt ventures out into the dark streets of Hell's Kitchen. Garbed with dark clothes and a black half-mask, he attempts to stop a kidnapping, but can barely hold his own against the attackers.
Meanwhile, Karen Page, unaware that Matt is still alive, invites Foggy Nelson over to Matt's place. Foggy is surprised to discover that Karen has moved in and is struggling to keep the place while also trying to pay the rent on her own apartment.
