Dane was a vampire operating out of Los Angeles, California in the late 2000s. He was a rival of Vicente, who led a troupe of vampires on an eating binge in Barrow, Alaska, and wanted revenge against him because Vicente had killed his mentor. Dane entered into a romantic affair with Stella Olemaun and the two forged an exchange so that Stella could find a way to resurrect her deceased husband, Eben Olemaun. When Dane learned that a new horde of vampires were amassing a new "event" in Barrow, Dane infiltrated the horde in the hopes of redirecting them. Agent Norris, a former F.B.I. agent, now turned vampire, figured out that Dane had engaged in a relationship with Stella Olemaun. Declaring him a traitor, he shot Dane in the face at point blank range with his handgun, killing him.
