Dan Cain is a fictional medical student and physician and the main protagonist in the Re-Animator film series. Played by actor Bruce Abbott, he first appeared in the 1985 sci-fi/horror film Re-Animator. Abbott reprised the role of Dan Cain for the film's 1989 sequel, Bride of Re-Animator.
