Overview[]
Damien Darhk is a criminal mastermind with superhuman abilities that are mystical in nature. He has a history with Ra's al Ghul, and eventually became the leader of the H.I.V.E., which was an international criminal cartel. Damien Darhk came to Star City with the intent of destroying it.
Biography[]
Damien Darhk's first major move in Star City was to hijack a supply of cluster bombs from a Kord Industries cargo truck, though this plot largely failed due to the intervention of John Diggle, Laurel Lance, and Thea Queen. He then brazenly burst into the board room at Star City Hall and told city council members that they should simply let Star City die. He then had two major government figures, the District Attorney and the Star City Comptroller murdered. [1]
When Damien learned about the H.I.V.E.'s failings, he killed one of his own men as a show of force by siphoning the life energy from him. He then decided to employ metahumans to help him deal with the city's vigilante defenders, which also included a recently returned Oliver Queen. He hired an insane underling named Lonnie Machen and a card-throwing Metahuman from Central City named Jeremy Tell.
