Biography[]
Dalt Kendall was a scientist living in New York City, New York in the mid-1940s. Kendall created a process using electric eels to give himself electrokinetic abilities.
With these newfound powers, Dalt began committing a series of bank robberies. This earned him the attention of the costumed heroine, Madeline Joyce, aka Miss America. Joyce tracked Kendall to his lair where she feigned being defeated in order to surprise him with a sneak attack. The incident prompted Kendall to fall backwards into his tank of electric eels, which electrocuted him to death.
Abilities[]
- Genius-level intellect: As a mad scientist, it may be assumed that Dalt's intelligence is significantly greater than that of the average human being.
- Electrokinesis: Dalt Kendall could project arcs of electrical energy.
- Energy absorption: Dalt Kendall could absorb electrical energy, though this seems to have come with some limitations, as he could not absorb the electrical energy of the eels that first gave him his powers to begin with.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Dalt Kendall was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Pauline Loth.
- Dalt Kendall is the first super-villain to utilize the code-name of Shocker. A modern-era Marvel Comics villain to use this name is Herman Schultz, who is a foe of Spider-Man.

Unusual features[]
- The process that gave Dalt his abilities also removed the pigmentation from his skin, giving him the appearance of an albino.
Final Fate[]
