Cult of Chucky is an independent horror film of the supernatural slasher genre. It is the seventh installment in the Child's Play film series, and the fourth movie to bear the name "Chucky" in the title. It was written and directed by franchise creator Don Mancini. It premiered at the FrightFest film festival in the United Kingdom on August 24th, 2017. It premiered direct-to-video on DVD and Blu-ray in the United States on October 3rd, 2017. The movie takes place four years after the events of Curse of Chucky and stars Fiona Dourif reprising the role of Nica Pierce. The film also stars Alex Vincent reprising the role of Andy Barclay with Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky and Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine.
