Croydon is a town located in the southern region of the city of London, England. It is part of the Greater London ceremonial county as of 1965 and is the principal settlement of the London Borough of Croydon. Croydon lies on a transport corridor between central London and the south coast of England, south of Charing Cross. Croydon is one of the largest commercial districts outside Central London, with an extensive shopping district and night-time economy.
