The Crow: Waking Nightmares is a four-issue comic book limited series published by the independent companies Kitchen Sink Press and Top Dollar Comics. It is part of The Crow multimedia franchise, first envisioned by author James O'Barr. The series was written by Christopher Golden and featured artwork by Phillip Hester and inker Ande Parks. All four issues of the series featured painted covers Miran Kim. The series was edited by Chris Couch for Kitchen Sink and by Jeff Conner for Top Dollar. They were published from January, 1997 to May, 1998.
The series introduces the character of Mark Leung, a former NYPD detective, who was murdered by members of the Chinese Triads. Resurrected by The Crow, he seeks to avenge his own death, as well as that of his wife, and also save the lives of his two twin daughters, who have been sold into slavery.
