"Vinnie Sherwood, Racket King!" is the title of the first story featured in the first issue of the Crime Machine illustrated magazine series by Skywald Publications. The story was written by an unknown author and illustrated by Mike Becker and Vince Alascia. The second story is "Marion Gilmore, Queen of the Waterfront Gangs!" by Joe Kubert. The next story is "Brothers in Crime" by Gerald McCann, followed by "Baby Face Nelson" by Wally Wood. Afterward is another Joe Kubert tale called "Walter Legenza and the Tri-State Gang". The sixth feature is "George Krowl and the Big City Murder Mob" by Gerald McCann. The seventh tale is "Boss of the Death Gang" by Mike Becker and Vince Alascia, followed by "Greek-Fire to Flame-Thrower by Chu Hing. The ninth and final feature is "Toots Garboli and His Flight Racketeers!" by artist Syd Shores. All stories were edited by Sol Brodsky. This issue shipped in February, 1971 and carries a cover price of .50 cents per copy.
