Creepshow 2 is an American feature film of the horror anthology genre. It is a sequel to the 1982 movie Creepshow and was directed by Michael Gornick with a screenplay written by George Romero based on stories written by famed horror novelist Stephen King. The movie was originally produced by New World Pictures and Laurel Entertainment, Inc., and released theatrically on May 1st, 1987. In addition to a framing sequence, Creepshow 2 features three tales of terror, "Old Chief Wood'nhead", "The Raft", and "The Hitchhiker". Of the three, only "The Raft" was adapted from an actual short story by Stephen King, while the other two are original tales.
