The Cotswolds is an area in south central England containing the Cotswold Hills, a range of rolling hills which rise from the meadows of the upper Thames to an escarpment, known as the Cotswold Edge, above the Severn Valley and Evesham Vale. The boundaries of the Cotswolds have expanded considerably since moving out of the cities and into the countryside gained popularity. Now the Cotswolds boundaries are roughly 25 miles across and 90 miles long, stretching south-west from just south of Stratford-upon-Avon to just south of Bath.
In the continuity of the Doctor Who franchise, the mother and father of Gerald and Norton Folgate, the latter of whom became a member of Torchwood, used to live in London, but wanted to get away from the lower-class, so they moved to a parish in the Cotswolds. [1]

- Cleeve Hill
- Cleeve Hill is the highest point both of the Cotswolds hill range and in the county of Gloucestershire, at 1,083 feet. It is located on Cleeve Common which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) looked after by a small charity called Cleeve Common Board of Conservators
- Deeper Well
- The Deeper Well was an immense cavern that literally extended through the entirety of the planet, creating a veritable "hole in the world". Being mystical in nature, it could be accessed from one of two different points, one opening which was in New Zealand, and another in the Cotswolds in England. The cavern was filled with the stacked sarcophagi of dozens of ancient immortal beings, who were known as the Old Ones. The Guardian of the Deeper Well was an immortal demon named Drogyn. The L.A. based demonic law firm Wolfram & Hart had one of the sarcophagi removed and shipped to the United States. This particular coffin contained the essence of a higher being named Illyria. After Illyria was released, Angel and Spike journeyed to the Deeper Well to learn more information from Drogyn. [2]
