Cooper Hawkes is a fictional soldier and a one of the main characters featured in the science fiction television series Space: Above and Beyond. Played by actor Rodney Rowland, he was introduced in the pilot episode of the show, and appeared in all twenty-three episodes of the series.
Biography[]
Cooper Hawkes was an artificially gestated human known as an In Vitro. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 15th, 2053. He had a gestation cycle of five years. He had a rough youth living in Philadelphia, which resulted in numerous fights and arrests. A judge sentenced Cooper Hawkes to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He became a member of the 58th Squadron under the command of Tyrus Cassius "T.C." McQueen. Cooper Hawkes achieved the rank of first lieutenant.
