The control tracer is a fictional item featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It first appeared in Captain Marvel #30 in January, 1974. The control tracer was a piece of technology that was designed to counteract the signal given off by Basil Sandhurst's slave discs. It accomplished this by homing in on the slave disc's frequency, and then countering it, thus breaking the connection between the disc and its victim.
