Biography[]
Parker is a uniformed police officer with the Wellington Police District of the New Zealand Police. He is a kind-hearted and well-meaning soul, but he is not particularly bright and more than a little clumsy. Aside from officers O'Leary, and Minogue, Parker is the one whom Sergeant Maaka has come closest towards disclosing the truth behind his special task force, the Wellington Paranormal Division. Even though Parker has been privy to Maaka's special case files and has experienced paranormal phenomena himself, he remains a dutiful and standard police officer.
Constable Parker was often partnered up with another officer named Stevenson. Parker and Stevenson responded to a burglary at a pants warehouse. The following day, Sergeant Maaka commended their work on the case, but took note that Parker was not wearing his standard police issue pants. Officer Stevenson was noticeably absent and when Maaka asked Parker where he was, the constable told him that he was at home selling pants on Trade Me. [1]
Constable Parker was present when Maaka, O'Leary and Minogue went to the Cuba Mall to stop the apocalypse. Although the other officers seemingly succeeded in stopping the demon Bazu'aal of the Unholy Realm from opening up a Hellmouth, Officer Parker was temporarily possessed, but seems to have recovered from the affair quite nicely. [1]
Parker once brought his uncle Trevor's pet budgie to the station because he was pet-sitting it. The bird escaped from its cage and began flying about. Parker, Maaka and other officers attempted to catch the parakeet, but it flew into a standing metal fan and was shredded. [2]
Parker later assisted Maaka as backup for O'Leary and Minogue in capturing a Kurangaituku who was nesting at the Brooklyn Wind Turbine. Parker came armed with a tranquilizer gun, but accidentally shot Maaka, Minogue, and himself. [2]
