The conspiracy theory news anchor is a fictional character featured in comic books published by Image Comics. He first appeared in Spawn #1 in May, 1992. This unnamed individual was a middle-aged man who was a news anchor for several different television outlets. He often espoused personal editorials as it related to current events, usually attributing some type of government cover-up to more questionable news articles such as gangland deaths, and the mysterious figure who stalked the rat-infested alleyways of New York City. This man's journalistic integrity is something of a question given that he has worked at several different stations over the years including My View on 2, 44 Viewer's Choice, 5 Talkback, 2 Today, 99 Guest Comment, Viacom Six, KRDF 68, 40 Other News, WDAV 8, Viewer's Forum, and KSTD 34.
