Conrad Buff, IV is a film editor born in 1948. [1] He is a member of the the American Cinema Editors (ACE). His first professional editing work was on the Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi documentary in 1983. His first film work was on the 1985 drama The Jagged Edge, directed by Richard Marquand, who also directed 1983's Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. In 1986, he worked on Solarbabies where he was credited as Conrad Buff. The movie was executive produced by Mel Brooks, who directed Buff's next project, Spaceballs in 1987. From there, he worked on Short Circuit 2 as well as two sci-fi films directed by James Cameron - The Abyss and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In 1995, he worked on Species, directed by Roger Donaldson who would work with Conrad again in 1997 on Dante's Peak and in 2000 on Thirteen Days. In 2009, Buff returned to the Terminator franchise with Terminator: Salvation, directed by McG. In 2011, he worked on Rupert Wyatt's revisionist prequel film Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
