Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Conan was created by pulp novelist Robert E. Howard and first appeared in the December, 1932 issue of Weird Tales before branching off into his own series of novels, multiple comic book titles & illustrated magazines, as well as being adapted into film and television media.
- This show is not to be confused with Conan: The Animated Series, which was also titled Conan the Adventurer and aired for two seasons in syndication from 1992 to 1993.
- A contemporary of Conan is Red Sonja, who received her own live-action feature film in 1985. A version of Red Sonja appeared in the aptly titled episode "Red Sonja" and was played by actress Angelica Bridges.
- Conan portrayer Ralf Moeller was a German bodybuilder and former Mr. Universe, who pivoted his strength and skill set towards acting. Sound like anyone we know? Yes, Ralf was a contemporary and friend of fellow flexer Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had previously played Conan in the Conan the Barbarian feature film in 1982.
