Description[]
The Compton residence is an old plantation house dating back prior to the American Civil War. It is located across the field from the Stackhouse residence. It has remained in the Compton family for generations, though has fallen into grave disrepair in recent years.
In the modern era, the estate was owned and lived in by old Jesse Compton, who was the last living member of the family to carry the Compton name. When Jesse Compton passed away in 2008, ownership of the property reverted to Bill Compton, Jesse's ancestor who was a vampire. He moved into the house shortly after. Compton lived there for three years, along with his vampire protégé, Jessica Hamby. Upon his death, Bill left the estate to a distant relative, Andy Bellefleur.
