Coluans are a fictional alien race featured in comic books published by DC Comics. They first appeared as a race in Action Comics #216 in May, 1956. The first major Coluan of note was Vril Dox, aka Brainiac. He was introduced in Action Comics #242 in July, 1958 in a story titled "The Super-Duel in Space".

Description

Coluans are a race of highly intelligent bipedal humanoids characterized by their green skin. They hail from the planet Colu in Sector 1287 in the Milky Way Galaxy. Coluans used their highly advanced intellect to create a network of robots to administrate the day-to-day operations of their planet. In time however, these computerized entities grew corrupt and became the Computer Tyrants of Colu.
