Description[]
Not a university, and not a community college, the generically named City College was located in New York City, New York. Doctor Sam Holden worked there as a professor of anthropology. A colleague named Margo Damian approached Doctor Holden and asked him to serve as liaison between the Eternals and the Deviants, who had just entered into a truce. Professor Holden presented an assemblage of both factions to a gathering of students in the lecture hall. Kro - leader of the Deviants made a demonstration of his powers, though several students thought he was the "Devil". One student named Arnold Radisch accused the immortal beings of using cheap gimmickry. Sersi of the Eternals used her bio-transformation abilities to make Arnold's head resemble the Thing. Another Eternal, Ikaris, demonstrated his abilities by flying about the assembly hall.
