Allusions[]
- The title of this episode is taken from Cape Fear, which is a 1962 crime thriller directed by J. Lee Thompson starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum. It was remade in 1991 by Martin Scorsese and starred Nick Nolte and Robert De Niro. Music from the 1991 film is used in this episode.
- At one point after being zapped by Devon Evans with his trusty taser, Chucky says "I'm too old for this shit". This is reference to a rather famous line spoken by Danny Glover's character Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon film series.
- The mental institution that Andy Barclay and Kyle escape from is Harrogate, which was the main setting for the 2017 film Cult of Chucky.
