Chris Pine is an American actor born in Los Angeles, California on August 26th, 1980. In the realm of science fiction, Pine is best known for playing the role of James T. Kirk in the 2009 production of Star Trek. Pine's character was previously immortalized by actor William Shatner in the original Star Trek television series. Christopher's first professional acting work was playing a character named Levine in the "A Thousand Crimes" episode of ER. His first professional film work was portraying Nicholas Devereaux in the 2004 movie The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Pine's other film and television roles include episodes of The Guardian, CSI: Miami, American Dreams and Six Feet Under. In 2010, Pine got to co-star with William Shatner and all-star cast of sci-fi personalities on Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey.
