Children of the Corn is an American horror film of the supernatural/cult subgenre. It is a remake of the 1984 movie Children of the Corn, which was based on a 1977 short story by author Stephen King. It was written and directed by Donald P. Borchers with a teleplay co-written by Stephen King himself. It is the third "classic" King film adaptations to be remade as a television movie following his reworkings of The Shining and Carrie. The movie first aired on the Syfy channel on September 26th, 2009. The film stars David Anders, Kandyse McClure, Daniel Newman and Preston Bailey.
