- 475 Park Avenue South
- 475 Park Avenue South was the street address of a two-story home owned by a young man named Russ. Russ was a horror movie fanatic, who kept his bedroom in disarray. Russ encountered Chucky - the living killer doll, and brought him back to his house. After hearing a heavily biased version Chucky's story about how his soul became bonded to a Good Guys doll, Russ contacted his friends to come over to perform a séance. [2]
- Carlton State Hospital
- In December, 1989, a woman named Karen Barclay was remanded to the care of the Carlton State Hospital, claiming that a possessed Good Guys doll had tried to murder her and her son, Andy. Andy had been sent to a child crisis center, and later placed in foster care. One of Carlton's staff members was Doctor Curry, who was a parapsychologist who actually believed Karen's story. [3]
- Carson Pirie Scott & Co
- Carson Pirie Scott & Co. is a department store with an outlet located in Chicago, Illinois. Karen Barclay and Maggie Peterson both worked there under the leadership of their boss, Mister Criswell. Maggie pointed out the Good Guy doll to Karen, who purchased it for her son, Andy's birthday. It was all downhill from there.
- Deerfield
- Deerfield is a suburb of Chicago, in the state of Illinois. It is located approximately twenty-five miles northwest of The Loop. The Pryde family lived on Central Avenue in Deerfield, which included Carmen & Terri Pryde, and their daughter, Kitty Pryde.
- Jimmy Wong's Cantonese Food
- Jimmy Wong's Cantonese Food was a business located on Wabash Avenue in the downtown district of Chicago, Illinois. In November of 1988, Chicago police detective Mike Norris pursued wanted serial killer Charles Lee Ray - the infamous "Lakeshore Strangler", and his accomplice, Eddie Caputo, down Wabash Avenue. Detective Norris managed to shoot Ray in the leg as he crossed the street, right in front of Jimmy Wong's Cantonese Food.
- Last Chance Garage
- The Last Chance Garage is an automobile and motorcycle garage owned by Charley Davidson in the downtown area of Chicago, Illinois. In 1993, it also became the base of operations for the Biker Mice from Mars. An alien industrialist named Lawrence Limburger sought to strip-mine the city for its natural resources and realized that the garage was located at the exact spot where he wanted to begin working. He sent his brutish underling Greasepit to the garage to muscle Charley out of the business. Fortunately for her, the Biker Mice were present and fought Greasepit, sending him back to Limburger with his tail tucked between his legs.
- Playland Toys
- Playland Toys was a toy store located on Wabash Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. In November of 1988, Chicago police detective Mike Norris pursued serial killer Charles Lee Ray into Playland Toys. The two ran throughout the various aisles, but ultimately Norris was able to land a shot to Charles' chest. The wound was fatal, and Charles only had moments to live. Desperate to survive, he used his knowledge of voodoo to invoke the power of Damballa in order to transpose his soul into a Good Guys doll. After reciting the incanation, dark storm clouds appeared over the store, and a massive lighting bolt struck down, blasting out all of the windows. Norris survived, but Charles Lee Ray was dead. Or was he? As it turned out, the ritual proved to be a success and the soul of Charles Lee Ray now resided within a doll named Chucky.
- Play Pals factory
- This could be ascribed to any number of factories owned and operated by the Play Pals Corporation for the manufacturing of toy products; most notably, the Good Guys doll. Each doll produced by Play Pals was assigned its own name, recorded on its voice player, but the most infamous of which is "Chucky". The Chucky doll was possessed by the soul of deceased serial killer Charles Lee Ray, who ran amok in the Lakeshore neighborhood of Chicago.
- Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Children
- Colloquially known as "Hellhouse", this was building served as a private school in Chicago in the 1950s. Corruption among the staff however, forced it to shut down. For years, the building lied empty and condemned. Decades later, the so-called "Hellhouse" re-opened, but not as a school for wayward children. It operated as an underground dispatch center for mercenaries and assassins. It was run by a contract broker named Patch, and many of its regular clients included Deadpool, T-Ray, Fenway, and Steele Fitzpatrick. [4]
- University of Chicago
- This was a college university located in Chicago, Illinois. One of its faculty members was a science professor named Joanne Tumolo. Students included Greer Grant and her friend, Jennie. Greer quit college to marry police officer Bill Nelson, but returned to her studies after Bill was shot and killed by a thief. She reconnected with Professor Tumolo, who brought her on as her lab assistant.
- Wabash Avenue
- Wabash Avenue is a street located in Chicago, Illinois. It ran through the downtown district of the city and included many different shops and other businesses. In November, 1988, Chicago police detective Mike Norris pursued wanted serial killer Charles Lee Ray - the infamous "Lakeshore Strangler", and his accomplice, Eddie Caputo, down Wabash Avenue. While Charles evaded the police on-foot, Eddie was in a getaway car, and left Charles high and dry. Detective Norris managed to shoot Ray in the leg as he crossed the street, and Charles limped into the Playland Toys shop. Although Mike Norris managed to finish Charles Lee Ray off inside the store, it was not the end of the Lakeshore Strangler. Using voodoo, Charles Lee Ray transposed his soul into a Good Guys doll and became known as "Chucky".
- Western Springs
- Western Springs is a suburban village located in the city of Chicago in the U.S. state of Illinois. A wealthy suburb of Chicago, it was founded in 1886 and named after a natural spring in the area that was believed to have healing powers that once belonged to the Pottawatomie tribe. Bobby Stark told reporter Tawny Richards that he hailed from Western Springs, Illinois. He made it a point to indicate that his town was the home of the Western Springs Wildcats, presumably a sports team of some renown.
