Chiba Prefecture is one of the forty-seven prefectures of Japan. It is located in the central eastern section of the island of Honshu and is part of the Kantō region. Its capital city is Chiba.

- Chiba is a city in Japan. It is the capital of Chiba Prefecture in the Kantō region on the island of Honshu. Chiba plays a small, yet vital role in the Godzilla film series. The fictional military unit, the Anti-Megalosaurus Force was founded in Chiba in 1966 according to the 2002 film Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla. One of the actors from that film, Akira Nakao, was born in Chiba on August 11th, 1942.
