Biography[]
Doctor Chester Dolenz was a scientist and a middle-aged man in the early 1970s. A genius at robotics, he came into the employ of an unscrupulous businessman named Gavern Wilson. Wilson had Dolenz and his team create a perfect robotic duplicate of a United States Air Force officer named Frederick Sloan. The robot, dubbed Mister X by Dolenz and his team, was programmed with audio samples and collected data to make him virtually indistinguishable from the actual Sloan.
Wilson had Dolenz' creation take Sloan's place so that it could steal a top-secret anti-missile defense circuit that the real Sloan had created. Dolenz and his crew monitored the robot's actions as it traveled across country to a U.S. Army testing site with Frederick's old friend, Steve Austin. He had to make adjustments to the robot via remote when certain glitches would crop up that might expose it as a fraud. Ultimately however, Austin figured out the truth about Dolenz' invention and fought against it.
After the debacle with the robot was resolved, military officers tracked down Gavern Wilson and his associates and arrested them. Doctor Dolenz however, was crafty enough to elude the authorities. What became of him following these events is unknown. [1]
