"The '70s Episode" is the seventeenth episode of season one of the WB Network television series Charmed. It was directed by Richard Compton and written by producer Sheryl J. Anderson. It first aired on Wednesday, April 7th, 1999. In this episode, the Charmed Ones run afoul of an immortal warlock named Nicholas and are surprised to learn that he is immune to their powers. The key to defeating the warlock lies not in the present, but in the past and the Halliwell sisters must travel back in time to the year 1975 where they reunite with their long-deceased mother, Patty.
