Working together, the so-called "Charmed Ones" fought up against the forces of evil, which took the form of demons, warlocks, and strange entities from another dimension, while working in tandem with an organization of guardian angels known as Whitelighters.

Quotes[]
- Piper Halliwell: Okay... let me handle Wyatt. This requires a mother's touch... Wyatt Matthew Halliwell! You stop this nonsense right now!
- Leo Wyatt: Wow, first time you used his full name.
- Piper Halliwell: Well it sounds better when I'm scolding him.
....
- Paige Matthews: What happened?
- Leo Wyatt: The Shadow couldn't choose between Zankou's evil or the Power of Three, so it went to the only neutral territory ... me.
....
- Paige Matthews: Will you shut that freaking thing off?
- Phoebe Halliwell: I'm sorry, but you gotta admire the range, huh? We're in the underworld!
....
- Elise Rothman: This time, I've got a family emergency, which means I need you to get the evening edition out.
- Phoebe Halliwell: Wait, wait, wait, wait. What? What about Dillard? Isn't he your number two guy?
- Elise Rothman: Richard is out sick.
- Phoebe Halliwell: Okay, but I'm just an advice columnist. I mean, surely you're skipping some rungs on the ladder here.
- Elise Rothman: Don't sell yourself short, Phoebe. I have faith in you. Besides, you owe me. Just think of all the times I've covered for your family emergencies.
- Phoebe Halliwell: Yeah, but that was different.
- Elise Rothman: How so?
- Phoebe Halliwell: Well, because they were my emergencies.
