Charles Brown is a fictional comic book super-villain and a recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is associated with the Batman line of comic titles and first appeared in Batman #133 in August, 1960. The character has also been presented as an anti-hero in the Harley Quinn animated series where he was voiced by actor Matt Oberg.

  • Like many of Batman's Silver Age foes, Kite Man was designed as a gimmick villain and commits various kite-themed crimes and uses kite-related gadgets.
  • The original iteration of Charles Brown was reportedly killed off in 52 Week Twenty-Five, but was re-imagined for DC's "Rebirth" launch following the New 52 continuity.
  • The character is named after Charlie Brown of Peanuts fame. Charlie Brown likewise had a fixation with kites, and became sworn enemies of the dastardly Kite-Eating Tree.
