"The Thing on the Roof" is the title to the first story featured in issue #3 of the Chamber of Chills horror anthology series published by Marvel Comics. The story was written by Roy Thomas with artwork by Frank Brunner. The second story is called "All the Shapes of Fear!", and was written by George Effinger an illustrated by Don Heck with Bill Everett on inks. The third and final tale is "The Girl Who Cast No Shadow" by writer Gardner Fox and artist Ernie Chua. All stories were edited by Roy Thomas. This issue shipped with a March, 1973 cover date and carries a cover price of .20 cents per copy.
