Biography[]
The man who came to be known as Centurious was born centuries ago. To save the life of his beloved, he sold his soul to the arch-demon Mephisto. Mephisto turned Centurious into the instrument of his revenge against an upstart demon named Zarathos.
Over the span of millenia, Centurious sought to balance the loss of his own soul by enslaving the souls of innocents. He trapped them and kept them contained inside of his Crystal of Souls. Over the centuries, he amassed ten times ten-thousand souls.
Centurious came upon his old foe Zarathos in the modern era, who was now bonded to a human named Johnny Blaze and was known as the Ghost Rider. Centurious stole Blaze's soul and trapped it within the crystal. Without Blaze to keep Zarathos in balance, the demon began losing power and was slowly dying. Zarathos attacked Centurious, but the soulless immortal was easily able to fight him off. Using the last of his strength, Zarathos split the crystal in two, releasing all of the spirits within.
Zarathos continued to fight against Centurious, until finally they entered the limbo soul dimension contained within the crystal. The crystal reformed itself, trapping both beings inside of it, seemingly for all eternity. The earth suddenly split open, and the crystal tumbled into its depths. [1]
