Centauri is the name of an alien race featured in the American television series Babylon 5, which aired from 1994 to 1998. They have been represented by several major characters in the series such as Londo Mollari and Vir Cotto.
Description[]
Centauri are humanoid beings with physical characteristics similar to most standard Earth humans. Distinguishing features include small, sharpened fangs and fanned out hair on the males.
Biology[]
Centauri do not have any major arteries in their wrists. [1]
Centauri possess a type of premonition that acts through their dreams. They can predict exactly when and under which circumstances they will ultimately die. In 2258, Londo Mollari told Jeffrey Sinclair that twenty years from then, G'Kar and he were destined to kill one another by choking each other to death. [2]
History[]
Notes & Trivia[]
- In the nomenclature of the Centauri species, Earth is known as Beta 12. While classifiying the race, they mistakenly believed it to be Beta 3, which gave rise to the belief that Earth humans and Centauris were genetic cousins. Of couse, this may have all been a fallacy perpetuated by Londo Mollari. [3]
