Cavendish Hall is a fictional manor featured in comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. It is associated with the Hellboy line of titles and first appeared in Hellboy: Seed of Destruction #1 in March, 1994. Its introduction only presented an interior study. Its first full appearance of the exterior was seen in the opening of Hellboy: Seed of Destruction #2.
Cavendish Hall was erected sometime around the mid-19th century on a lake area on an island in upstate New York. The land surrounding it was considered cursed, and even the Native American tribes known to reside in this area kept clear of the island for many thousands of years. The hall itself was erected by Elihu Cavendish and remained in the family for several generations.
In the modern era, aging Emma Cavendish was the last surviving member of the Cavendish family. She made an arrangement with occultist Grigori Rasputin to resurrect two of her three sons. Grigori was also responsible for turning Emma's butler, Sven Olafson, into a frog monster.
The B.P.R.D. sent Hellboy, Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien to Cavendish Hall to speak with Emma about the recent murder of Trevor Bruttenholm, who had gone on an expedition with the Cavendish boys ten months earlier. The three of them were invited to stay in the manor overnight. Hellboy recognized Olafson as one of the expedition members, at which point, Sven transformed into a frog monster and fought with Hellboy.
