Tim Minear is an American television producer, director and writer born in New York City, New York on October 29th, 1963. He was a staff member of Mutant Enemy Productions and collaborated with founder Joss Whedon on multiple television programs including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and Dollhouse. Minear's first work in the science fiction genre was as an assistant director on the 1985 sci-fi/horror film Re-Animator. Minear then served as executive story editor on season five of The X-Files.
