Roger Delgado was a film and television actor of Spanish and French descent. He was born in the Whitechapel district of London, England on March 1st, 1918. Roger Delgado is best known for playing the role of The Master in thirty-seven episodes of the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who. He played the role of Hugh Conrad in "The Coming" episode of the Quatermass II television series in 1955. He also played a Muslim doomsayer named Hasmid Ali in the Hammer Horror film The Mummy's Shroud in 1967. Roger Delgado died in an automobile accident near Nevshir in Turkey on June 18th, 1973. He was 55-years-old.
