Robert Bernstein is a comic book writer. He was born on May 23rd, 1919. The majority of his work has been for DC Comics, though he has also worked on some Marvel Comics material as well. For DC, he has written stories for 80 Page Giant, Adventure Comics, Our Army at War, Showcase, Superman, Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane and Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen. For Marvel he has worked on Journey Into Mystery, Tales of Suspense, The Human Torch and Thor. Robert Bernstein passed away on December 19th, 1988.

- Co-creator of Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan - two supporting characters in the Iron Man family of titles.
- Co-creator of DC’s Electro (Action Comics 286), who in Superman’s Red Kryptonite-fueled dream sequence sits on a jury which condemns Superman to fight to the death against Supergirl. Electro is a human-proportioned, skeleton-like alien who glows orange and yellow, similar in appearance to Luthor’s fake aliens from Dimension X in Action Comics 271.
