Paul Donovan is a film and television producer, director and screenwriter born in Canada on June 26th, 1954. His first professional work was as a producer on the 1983 crime drama Self Defense. His first work in the science fiction genre was 1985's Def-Con 4, which he produced and directed. In 1997, Donovan created the Canadian sci-fi series Lexx. He was credited as executive producer on the series and directed eleven episodes while also co-writing the screenplays for fifty episodes.
