Paul Darrow was a British actor who was born in Surrey, England on May 2nd, 1941. He is best known for playing the role of Kerr Avon in the 1978 television series Blake's 7. He was introduced in the second episode of the program and appeared in every episode following. Darrow also appeared in two story-arcs for Doctor Who, first playing the role of Captain Hawkins in the "Doctor Who and the Silurians" story-arc and later as Tekker in the "Timelash" story-arc. Paul Darrow has also lent his voice to characters in video games such as Imperium Galactica II: Alliances, Star Wars: Empire at War and Battlespace. In Empire at War, Darrow provided the voice for Grand Moff Tarkin, a role originally played by Peter Cushing in the original Star Wars.
