Noël Johnson was a British television actor born in Birmingham, England on December 28th, 1916. His first major work in the sci-fi genre was in the role of J.M. Osborne on the short-lived 1961 television series A for Andromeda, appearing in all seven episodes. Johnson reprised the role of Osborne on the 1962 sequel series, The Andromeda Breakthrough. In 1965, he played the role of General Short on "Thirteen to Centaurus" episode of Out of the Unknown. Following that, Noël appeared in two storylines for the Doctor Who television series. He played King Thous in "The Underwater Menace" and M.P. Charles Grover in "Invasion of the Dinosaurs". Johnson passed away on October 1st, 1999 at the age of 82.
